Dana Kaplan: Award-Winning Retired Classroom Educator Pushes Beyond Anxiety & ADHD Diagnosis to Become Global Educational Coach
Dana Kaplan is a renowned, award-winning Educational Coach for Neurodiverse and Out-of-the-Box Learners. This former New York City Teacher of the Year specializes in rich self-investigation as a direct pathway to disrupt and dismantle stigmas, conscious and unconscious biases, and shift one’s thoughts in order to build a Compassionate Community for ALL.
Dana is a retired classroom educator who sometimes took her students to 60-100 fields trips per year because believes in real world teaching. She is also certified trauma specialist, and coach for neurodiverse learners who has become an internationally recognized specialist focused on accessibility, inclusivity, and rich belonging in the world.
Dana uses her two decades of research, education, implementation experience, and specialty in Holistic Brain Health to start DEED®, Developing Empathetic Education with Dana. She believes her late in life diagnosis of ADHD is actually her superpower that maximizes her niche approach to teaching, coaching, and mentoring.
